Enrollment Requirements and Information
This video will provide a brief overview of the Kindertgarten and New Student Enrollment Portal:
Below is the list of the documentation you will be requested to upload during the online enrollment process.
- Birth Certificate
- Alabama Immunization Form. Immunization forms from another State or another Country must be transferred to an Alabama Immunization Form. This can be obtained from a local pediatrician or from the Jefferson County Health Department.
- Proof of Residence
- Current annual property tax notice OR
- Warranty Deed (only if home was purchased recently and a property tax notice in your name does not exist for the address; a contingency sales contract is not acceptable) OR
- Current lease in the name of the parent(s) or court-appointed guardian(s), signed by both the Lessee and Lessor, listing the names of all occupants at the residence and the lease expiration date. The lease must provide contact information for the leasing agent / landlord.
- Current Utility Bill - a bill from Alabama Power or Spire Gas displaying the service address in the name of parent(s) or court-appointed guardian(s). The mailing portion will not be accepted. For assistance in obtaining your utility bill, instructions for printing an Alabama Power Bill and instructions for printing a Spire Gas Bill are provided by clicking on the links.
- Driver’s License OR valid state-issued ID for parents or court-appointed guardians.
- Custody Documents. Required if both parents are listed on the birth certificate but are not living together with their child in the Homewood residence.
- Withdrawal form, transcript, and any additional documents from your child’s previous school. This may include your child’s IEP, if applicable.
