Child Nutrition

Homewood City Schools Child Nutrition Program encourages all students and faculty to participate in the School Nutrition Program. Our goal is to serve nutritious, appetizing meals that students and staff will look forward to and enjoy daily. HCS remains committed to providing a menu that promotes health and wellness.

  • Cash and Checks are accepted at the school. Credit card payments can be made through the LINQ Connect online payment portal.

Please note your student's name and lunch number on all payments. A telephone phone number must be on check payments in order to be accepted.

Please click the link to set up your LINQ Connect account and reestablish your automatic payment for school meals:

  • Elementary Breakfast: $1.75
    Elementary Lunch: $3.00
    Middle/ High Breakfast: $2.00
    Middle/ High Lunch: $3.25

  • Homewood City Schools will establish procedures to ensure that students receive a healthy lunch each day. Payment is expected to the Student Meal Account when the meal is received. This can be done by establishing an online prepayment account or paying at the point-of-sale. It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to keep sufficient funds available in the Student Meal Account. When payment is not presented or available from a pre-paid account, one reimbursable meal per day will be served to the student. Students without payment may charge a la carte items or additional portions.

Upon graduation, funds remaining in a Student Meal Account will be returned upon written request no later than June 15 of the year of graduation. Funds not requested by June 15 will be forfeited to the Child Nutrition Program.

The Superintendent will establish a procedure to address on-going negative balances within the Child Nutrition Program.
